Nepal Nature, Adventure & Wildlife - 14 Days

Annapurna area
Nepal

This low altitude trek in the Annapurna foothills is specially devised for families. We include time in the traditional villages. At each campsite you can join our crew and the villagers in dancing and singing.

There is also time to visit the local schools and markets where cultural horizons are so different from our own.

During the trek you get to witness magnificent oak and rhododendron forests as you ascend to alpine meadows that afford spectacular views of the Annapurna Range, during jungle safaris in Chitwan National Park and ride atop elephants in search of rhino and the Bengal tiger.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Flying to Kathmandu along the northern border of Nepal on a clear day is in itself an exciting and memorable experience as exotic panoramic view of snow-capped Annapurna mountain range peaks sprawls before you.

A representative and driver from our office will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check into your designated hotel. Thereafter, you will be thoroughly briefed about your travel plan.

Nepal attractions abound

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Kathmandu sightseeing tour begins immediately after early morning delicious breakfast.

Your guide will take you to Pashupatinath temple, a very sacred Hindu pilgrimage site. During this visit you get to learn and witness Hindu belief and rituals. Buddhist stupa of Buddhanath is another significant religious site which is the major highlight of your trip.

You will then head towards Swayambhunath, a large stupa set on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu and this site is often referred to as the 'Monkey Temple' because of the large numbers of monkeys which have made it their home. This place offers a majestic view of the entire Kathmandu valley. Stupa of Swayambhunath epitomizes Buddhism for Buddhist sect.

Your cultural exploration gets more stimulating on your tour to Patan. Patan is 5 kms away from Kathmandu Valley on the South-East. Patan Durbar Square, Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor temple, Krishna Temple and Golden Temple are the major attractions of Patan.

Your next destination is Bhaktapur that lies 13 km away from the Kathmandu valley in the East. It is most popular for its unique culture, tradition, arts and finest craftsmanship. Unlike African animals, those in Chitwan tend to be rather solitary and shy, but the chances of sightseeing these are very high owing to the expertise and experiences of experienced guides.
